Industrial Brochure + Trade Show Graphic Design

Hired to transform the complete marketing material for a retail, office, industrial lighting controls company. I did a lot of work in a short amount of time. Their existing logos, brochures and product flyers/sheets were rather industrial and boring, created by non-designers. I was hired direct with no interview to come in and sit down and speak with the marketing manager at the time. I instantly envisioned a ‘green’ environmentally friendly modern theme for their graphics overhaul.

I had the art direction worked out in full that first day and even created new logos for their new ‘Integrated Energy Control Package’ products and services, the logo representing one of the many switches used in lighting control devises. I chose a color theme that is earthy with ‘eggplant’ contrasts to represent the ‘green energy'. I chose the Gil Sans typeface in various weights for the text to project a warmer, organic, earth-friendly feel for the brochures in tandem with Futura, the company’s main logotype typeface.

The client was amazed and the new marketing material redesign was a success with vendors and at trade shows, the new branding I created really stood out from other competitors on the trade show floor.

LCD IECP POCKET FOLDER – OUTSIDE – Designed this folder with a dual purpose of holding documentation and other flyers and to serve as brochure as well. Note that the folder when folded closed become yet another brochure, something I came up with so that the cost of producing these would also be purposeful.

LCD IECP ENERGY ANALYSIS – PAGE 3/4 – Great example of my FORM DESIGN skills. I had to create this out of scratch from random bits of convoluted documentation they had, organizing information in a clear and readable manner. I enjoy designing forms, they’re a communication-clarity design challenge.

Large scale trade show graphics panels in which the products illustrated were attached below, hence the arrow pointing down. The goal was simply to show how and where the products were integrated in a retail environment.

I used electric and gas meter dials as supportive graphics I created in Illustrator from scratch which suggest energy savings and of course, symbolic of things found in the HVAC industry.
